Production Engineer


We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic manager who can apply their skills in solving problems, improving business processes and implement process improvements.


  • Manage and schedule production work for assigned department and assure that products are produced on time and are of high quality.
  • Manage a 10-person production department, including annual reviews, goal setting, and professional development.
  • Lead role within the department and production group for process improvement, and achieving department and company goals.
  • Collaborate with sales, purchasing and other production groups to ensure that production resources and materials match market demands and sales requirements.
  • Review orders for feasibility and accuracy and recommend changes as needed.


  • BS or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years’ with direct supervision of a manufacturing group
  • Proven people manager who can motivate staff and colleagues on an individual and team level.
  • Skilled at working with colleagues from all organizational levels.
  • Hands on experience in building and maintaining process control systems
  • A record of process improvements such as inventory and lead time reduction, introduction of KanBan concepts, or quality improvement.
  • Ideal industry experience: electromechanical or semiconductor.

Senior Accountant

Amptek’s Senior Accountant will perform accounting functions in five major areas– month end close, financial reporting, audit support, cost accounting, and Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable review.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • General Ledger – assists and/or prepares consolidated financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and other significant reports as required
  • Journal Entries – prepare month end closing journal entries and accruals
  • Assist Accounting Manager with review of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable daily tasks
  • Capital expenditure tracking and maintenance of the Fixed Asset System (FAS)
  • Preparation of the monthly consolidated Accounts Receivable Aging report (AR-1)
  • Prepare reconciliations and quarter end self-testing as required by Corporate Internal Audit
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP/SOX and provide support in external and internal audits
  • Update and manage standard costs in ERP system
  • Assist in quarterly reporting (MD&A) process
  • Support organization and assist with forecasting, budgeting and reporting
  • Apply principles of cost accounting to provide detailed cost information including standard cost, variance analysis, labor distribution, direct labor & absorption, and inventory analysis
  • Assist with reconciling second business entity in Finland
  • Support Controller and Finance team as needed


Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with three to five years’ experience in the accounting field, preferably in a manufacturing environment at a public company
  • Advanced level Excel proficiency and ability to work with complex sheets, connections to external data sources, pivot tables, advanced formulas
  • Experience with M1, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Crystal Reports and Microsoft Office is highly desirable
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Highly detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
  • Public audit experience is strongly preferred
  • Ability to suggest and implement process improvements
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and communicate with employees at Site and Corporate level
